Spending time at the beach and the lagoon in Cintsa, I tried my luck at bird photography. I was lucky capturing a few birds in flight like this heron.

Spending time on the beach of Cintsa near East Londen, I captured this crab busy digging in the sand.
My friend Jana loves Cosmos flowers and loves doing crafts with images of Cosmos. On my attempt to capture Cosmos photos, I had one lucky shot with a bee on the flower.
After the rain yesterday, the raindrops sat like glass beads on the plants.
The flower dome was listed as the largest glass greenhouse in the world as listed in the Guinness World Records 2015 and hosts flowers and plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid regions. Changing displays are also done to reflect different seasons and festivals.
We had a photography congress at Moolmanshoek in the Eastern Free State. There are so may photographic opportunities.
We were fortunate to have a short break to Uvongo. Along with the camera gear we also took the mountain bikes and had a few rides. This was at Clearwater trails near Port Edward.
The Isle of Wight, an island off the south coast of England, can be reached with a ferry. It is a beautiful island with lots of landscape photographic opportunities. This was at Totland.

The Game farm next to "The Wedding Barn" venue where we had a wedding Saturday had the most beautiful scenery where we took Erich & Carien’s wedding photos.
I don’t really do flower photography, but when there is an opportunity, I try to capture some images.
Lesotho is a beautiful country. I have experimented with some black and white landscapes. I loved how the son came through the clouds on this image.
There is such a variety of animals in the ocean. Sometimes the less colorful ones are overlooked, such as this anemone (also photographed at Umkomaas).
There is such a variety of nudibranchia. They have beautiful colors and some have interesting shapes. This photo was also captured at Umkomaas.
Since weekends are quite busy, we don’t get the opportunities to go diving any more. However, I still have many images from our dive trips to share. This wrasse was taken at Aliwal Shoal, Umkomaas.
During low tide at Raylay beach in Krabi the rocks are visible, where there is some small crabs and snails. This little crab was about 1 – 1.5 cm big.
I captured this gull bathing on one of our holidays at Melkbosstrand.
We also had a few of these visitors while we were doing Henry & Ananda’s wedding photos at the golf course.
Revisiting my archives of diving photos brings a lot diving memories. I photographed this boxfish at Aliwal Shoal, Umkomaas.
From my macro lens shoot, I also got this image of droplets.
I haven’t really tried out macro photography, so I took out the macro kit and played around in the garden.
Revisiting my archives brings back a lot of memories of places we have been. I took this image on a trip we did in 2009 at Cederberg.
Composition is always playing a role in photography. I had two images of these gulls – this one where they are facing each other and the other they were facing the same direction. I felt that this one had the more impact.
I wish we could get under water again. This was on one of our Umkomaas trips.
On the beach there is usually some crab activity. This image was taken on the beach at Umkomaas.
As we had lots of windy conditions on the beach during our holiday, it was easier to photograph stationary birds.
At the Cango Wildlife Ranch at Oudtshoorn I had the opportunity to photograph a few birds such as this flamingo.
We had an uninvited visitor on our sliding door. Luckily it did not stay too long.

I photographed this fruit bat at the Cango Wildlife Ranch on our Oudtshoorn trip earlier this year. It is really huge bats.
